Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Was sagte Odin zum Toten Balder by Anselm Kiefer. The price achieved of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 72,341.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anselm Kiefer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Für Velimir Khlebnikov: Die Lehre vom Krieg: Seeschlachten in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 2,389,000.00 (€ 2,867,579.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Was sagte Odin zum Toten Balder von Anselm Kiefer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 63.000,00 (€ 72.341,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anselm Kiefer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Für Velimir Khlebnikov: Die Lehre vom Krieg: Seeschlachten im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.389.000,00 (€ 2.867.579,59).
