The work 'Sand Dunes, Sunrise, Death Valley, National Monument, Ca.' by Ansel Adams was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. It achieved a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,241.01), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ansel Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).

Die Arbeit 'Sand Dunes, Sunrise, Death Valley, National Monument, Ca.' von Ansel Adams kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 11.241,01) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ansel Adams erzielen.
