Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master and British Drawings, which included the work The Madonna Suckling The Infant Christ by Annibale Carracci. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,178.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Annibale Carracci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna And Child With Saint Lucy And The Young Saint John The Baptist in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 6,063,500.00 (€ 5,438,604.36).

Im Januar 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna Suckling The Infant Christ von Annibale Carracci zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.178,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Annibale Carracci erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Madonna And Child With Saint Lucy And The Young Saint John The Baptist im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.063.500,00 (€ 5.438.604,36).
