Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Bearded Man by Annibale Carracci was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2017. The price achieved of GBP 728,750.00 (€ 813,173.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Annibale Carracci have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Madonna And Child With Saint Lucy And The Young Saint John The Baptist in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 6,063,500.00 (€ 5,438,604.36).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Bearded Man von Annibale Carracci wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 728.750,00 (€ 813.173,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Annibale Carracci auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Madonna And Child With Saint Lucy And The Young Saint John The Baptist im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.063.500,00 (€ 5.438.604,36).
