Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work Pietà - 'The Christ Of Caprarola’ by Annibale Carracci. The price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 4,243.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Annibale Carracci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna And Child With Saint Lucy And The Young Saint John The Baptist in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 6,063,500.00 (€ 5,438,604.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pietà - 'The Christ Of Caprarola’ von Annibale Carracci zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 4.243,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Annibale Carracci erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Madonna And Child With Saint Lucy And The Young Saint John The Baptist im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.063.500,00 (€ 5.438.604,36).
