Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anne Collier could be acquired at Phillips in New York in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work Woman Crying (Comic) #4 changed hands for USD 29,210.00 (€ 27,416.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anne Collier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman Crying (Comic) #16 in March last year with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 119,509.74).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anne Collier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman Crying (Comic) #16 im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 119.509,74).
