Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Anne Collier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October this year. In the Photographs auction, the work Introduction, Fear, Anger, Despair, Guilt, Hope, Joy, Love/Conclusion sold for USD 33,020.00 (€ 31,245.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anne Collier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woman Crying (Comic) #16, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 100,800.00 (€ 119,509.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anne Collier erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Introduction, Fear, Anger, Despair, Guilt, Hope, Joy, Love/Conclusion für USD 33.020,00 (€ 31.245,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anne Collier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Woman Crying (Comic) #16 beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 100.800,00 (€ 119.509,74) versteigert wurde.
