Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Anna Weyant was worth HKD 1,184,400.00 (€ 144,132.73) to a buyer in June last year. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale at Phillips in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anna Weyant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Falling Woman in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,623,000.00 (€ 1,512,440.59).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit ohne Titel von Anna Weyant war einem Käufer im Juni letzten Jahres HKD 1.184.400,00 (€ 144.132,73) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anna Weyant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Falling Woman im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.623.000,00 (€ 1.512.440,59).
