Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Anna Althea Hills achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. In the California Art auction, the work Troubled Waters, Monterey sold for USD 41,562.50 (€ 35,222.46) - well above the upper estimate of USD 16,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anna Althea Hills have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Spell of the Sea (Near Moss Point) in November this year with an auction result of USD 229,100.00 (€ 210,029.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anna Althea Hills erzielte im August 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit Troubled Waters, Monterey für USD 41.562,50 (€ 35.222,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 16.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anna Althea Hills auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Spell of the Sea (Near Moss Point) im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 229.100,00 (€ 210.029,34).
