Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Anna Althea Hills achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Los Angeles in October 2000. In the CALIFORNIA WESTERN&AMERICAN PAINTINGS DRAWINGS&SCULPTURE auction, the work Summer Sea, Laguna Beach sold for USD 5,640.00 (€ 6,646.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anna Althea Hills achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Spell of the Sea (Near Moss Point) in November this year with an auction result of USD 229,100.00 (€ 210,029.34).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Anna Althea Hills erzielte im Oktober 2000 bei Christies in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion CALIFORNIA WESTERN&AMERICAN PAINTINGS DRAWINGS&SCULPTURE wurde die Arbeit Summer Sea, Laguna Beach für USD 5.640,00 (€ 6.646,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00.
