Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anna Althea Hills could be acquired at Christies in Beverly Hills in November 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS auction, the work Peasant With Faggots changed hands for USD 1,314.50 (€ 991.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anna Althea Hills achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Spell of the Sea (Near Moss Point) in November this year with an auction result of USD 229,100.00 (€ 210,029.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anna Althea Hills konnte im November 2004 bei Christies in Beverly Hills für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS wechselte die Arbeit Peasant With Faggots für USD 1.314,50 (€ 991,40) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anna Althea Hills erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Spell of the Sea (Near Moss Point) im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 229.100,00 (€ 210.029,34).
