Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Suffering Head by Angus Jones was sold in the CONTEMPORARY ART auction at Christies in Melbourne in April 2001. The price achieved of AUD 1,762.50 (€ 1,012.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Other works by Angus Jones have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2020 the work Untitled Face was auctioned for AUD 1,952.00 (€ 1,657.89).
