Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Two Works: i) An Incredible Force of Nature, 2000; ii) Fahwenschwinger - Gridded and Drilled by Angus Fairhurst for USD 563.00 (€ 418.62). This price was achieved in the auction Under the Influence at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Angus Fairhurst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Couple of Differences Between Thinking and Feeling II in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 137,829.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two Works: i) An Incredible Force of Nature, 2000; ii) Fahwenschwinger - Gridded and Drilled von Angus Fairhurst für USD 563,00 (€ 418,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Angus Fairhurst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Couple of Differences Between Thinking and Feeling II im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 118.750,00 (€ 137.829,53).
