Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work This Does Not Last More Than Five Seconds by Angus Fairhurst for USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,580.04). This price was achieved in the auction Under the Influence at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Angus Fairhurst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Couple of Differences Between Thinking and Feeling II in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 137,829.53).
