Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Corfu Town, the old market before the barracks and below the new fortress on main harbour In an 18th century carved wood Maratta frame. by Angelos Giallina was sold in the Travel & Exploration Sale auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 6,144.00 (€ 7,150.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Angelos Giallina have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Corfu in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 30,945.72).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.144,00 (€ 7.150,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angelos Giallina auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Corfu im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.100,00 (€ 30.945,72).
