Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Rosemary Magnani and Sharky Piscattano on the Shore in Front of an Unmade Building by Frank Lloyd Wright by Angela Dufresne was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,000.00 (€ 906.78). Admittedly, works by Angela Dufresne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Phillip Johnson New Canaan House With The Floating Museum And Conservatory Addition C. 2046 in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,084.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Rosemary Magnani and Sharky Piscattano on the Shore in Front of an Unmade Building by Frank Lloyd Wright von Angela Dufresne im Juli 2015 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.000,00 (€ 906,78) den Besitzer.
