Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Crucifixion by Ang Kiukok was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 750,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 756,000.00 (€ 89,753.42). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ang Kiukok - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishermen, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 3,760,000.00 (€ 356,804.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Crucifixion von Ang Kiukok wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 750.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 756.000,00 (€ 89.753,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ang Kiukok mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishermen beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 3.760.000,00 (€ 356.804,47) versteigert wurde.
