Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pieta "Crown of Thorns" by Ang Kiukok was sold in the Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 630,000.00 (€ 70,078.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ang Kiukok have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishermen in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,760,000.00 (€ 356,804.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pieta "Crown of Thorns" von Ang Kiukok wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 630.000,00 (€ 70.078,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ang Kiukok auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fishermen im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.760.000,00 (€ 356.804,47).
