Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dog Series by Ang Kiukok was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,378.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ang Kiukok achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fishermen in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,760,000.00 (€ 356,804.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dog Series von Ang Kiukok wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.378,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ang Kiukok erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fishermen im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.760.000,00 (€ 356.804,47).
