Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Moonwalk by Andy Warhol. The price achieved of USD 269,000.00 (€ 235,119.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
