Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mammy, from Myths by Andy Warhol was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. It achieved a price of USD 35,655.00 (€ 36,445.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
