The work Endangered Species by Andy Warhol was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in New York in April 2014. The »bidding war« ended at USD 509,000.00 (€ 366,979.09), 27% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).

Die Arbeit Endangered Species von Andy Warhol wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 509.000,00 (€ 366.979,09) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
