In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art, which included the work Ice, Each Piece Frozen To The Next, Around A Hole, Yorkshire Sculpture Dumfriesshire, 7 January 1987 by Andy Goldsworthy. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,789.76), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Andy Goldsworthy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work (i) British Museum (Stonework) (ii) Stonework in February 2005 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 41,763.69).

Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ice, Each Piece Frozen To The Next, Around A Hole, Yorkshire Sculpture Dumfriesshire, 7 January 1987 von Andy Goldsworthy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.789,76) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andy Goldsworthy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit (i) British Museum (Stonework) (ii) Stonework im Februar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 41.763,69).
