Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Speaker by Andrew Spence. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,889.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrew Spence - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Chair, which sold at auction in July 2008 for USD 6,000.00 (€ 3,848.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Speaker von Andrew Spence zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.889,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrew Spence mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Chair beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für USD 6.000,00 (€ 3.848,87) versteigert wurde.
