Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Andrew Spence could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the House Sale auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 240.00 (€ 175.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Spence achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Chair in July 2008 with an auction result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 3,848.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andrew Spence konnte im Juli 2007 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion House Sale wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 240,00 (€ 175,04) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrew Spence erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Chair im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 3.848,87).
