Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Magnifico Torrero by Andres Valencia was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 76,200.00 (€ 71,522.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andres Valencia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ms. Cube, which sold at auction in June last year for HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 153,332.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Magnifico Torrero von Andres Valencia kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 76.200,00 (€ 71.522,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Andres Valencia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ms. Cube beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für HKD 1.260.000,00 (€ 153.332,70) versteigert wurde.
