Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Two Works: i) Text Container, 1992; ii) 3 Generations, 1992 by Andrei Roiter was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 464.72). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrei Roiter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Exposed Structure in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,938.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Two Works: i) Text Container, 1992; ii) 3 Generations, 1992 von Andrei Roiter im September 2011 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 625,00 (€ 464,72) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrei Roiter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Exposed Structure im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.938,60).
