Artwork auctioned at eight times the upper estimate price
When the work November by Andrei Filippov was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2007, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 1,500.00 but the actual price achieved was more than eight times as high at GBP 13,200.00 (€ 18,956.07). Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Andrei Filippov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Three Candles, From The Auspicies Series sold at auction in November 2013 with the realized price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 36,100.98).
