Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work 4x Grau, mit hellem Blau by Andreas Brandt was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,753.15). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andreas Brandt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work „Schwarz und Hellblau“., which sold at auction in December 2018 for EUR 10,625.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit 4x Grau, mit hellem Blau von Andreas Brandt im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.753,15) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Andreas Brandt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit „Schwarz und Hellblau“. beobachtet, die im Dezember 2018 für EUR 10.625,00 versteigert wurde.
