Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christ At The Column by Andrea Solario was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 137,500.00 (€ 123,329.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrea Solario - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ecce Homo, which sold at auction in July 2015 for GBP 341,000.00 (€ 483,423.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Christ At The Column von Andrea Solario kam im Mai 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 123.329,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrea Solario mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ecce Homo beobachtet, die im Juli 2015 für GBP 341.000,00 (€ 483.423,47) versteigert wurde.
