Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christ At The Column by Andrea Solario was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 137,500.00 (€ 123,329.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrea Solario - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ecce Homo, which sold at auction in July 2015 for GBP 341,000.00 (€ 483,423.47).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 123.329,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrea Solario mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ecce Homo beobachtet, die im Juli 2015 für GBP 341.000,00 (€ 483.423,47) versteigert wurde.
