Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings, which included the work The Madonna and Child by Andrea Solario. The price achieved of USD 288,500.00 (€ 295,685.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Other works by Andrea Solario have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2015 the work Ecce Homo was auctioned for GBP 341,000.00 (€ 483,423.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna and Child von Andrea Solario zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 288.500,00 (€ 295.685,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Andrea Solario konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2015 die Arbeit Ecce Homo für GBP 341.000,00 (€ 483.423,47) versteigert.
