Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An academic male nude holding a rod to his left shoulder by Andrea de Leone was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,174.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea de Leone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bacchanal in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 500,000.00 (€ 596,395.12).
