Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work The Miraculous Apparition of Saint James at the Battle of Clavijo by Andrea de Leone for EUR 14,650.00. This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Pictures and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea de Leone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bacchanal in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 500,000.00 (€ 596,395.12).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Pictures and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrea de Leone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bacchanal im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 500.000,00 (€ 596.395,12).
