In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Collector, Dealer, Connoisseur: The Vision of Richard L. Feigen, which included the work Saint Stephen; Saint Lawrence by Andrea di Bartolo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 100,800.00 (€ 87,257.62), 68% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Andrea di Bartolo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Way to Calvary in June last year with an auction result of USD 630,000.00 (€ 601,776.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Collector, Dealer, Connoisseur: The Vision of Richard L. Feigen durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Stephen; Saint Lawrence von Andrea di Bartolo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 87.257,62) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrea di Bartolo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Way to Calvary im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 630.000,00 (€ 601.776,67).
