In December 2008 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Pictures (Day Sale), which included the work The Madonna dell'Umiltà, with two Angels by Andrea di Bartolo. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 61,250.00 (€ 64,330.32), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Andrea di Bartolo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Way to Calvary in June last year with an auction result of USD 630,000.00 (€ 601,776.67).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen

Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Pictures (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna dell'Umiltà, with two Angels von Andrea di Bartolo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 61.250,00 (€ 64.330,32) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrea di Bartolo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Way to Calvary im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 630.000,00 (€ 601.776,67).
