Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Madonna Of Humility by Andrea di Bartolo was sold in the Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 70,481.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andrea di Bartolo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Way to Calvary in June last year with an auction result of USD 630,000.00 (€ 601,776.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Madonna Of Humility von Andrea di Bartolo wurde im Dezember 2011 in der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 58.850,00 (€ 70.481,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrea di Bartolo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Way to Calvary im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 630.000,00 (€ 601.776,67).
