Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Untitled (Green/Nostril) by Amy Sillman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 289,800.00 (€ 261,245.83), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Amy Sillman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Your Affection, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 870,000.00 (€ 770,798.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Green/Nostril) von Amy Sillman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 289.800,00 (€ 261.245,83) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Amy Sillman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Your Affection beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 870.000,00 (€ 770.798,26) versteigert wurde.
