Despite a disappointment, a good price for Amy Gartrell
In March 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Two works: i) Well Kept Secret; ii) Major Awards by Amy Gartrell for USD 1,250.00 (€ 937.45). This price was achieved in the auction Under the Influence at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Two works: i) Well Kept Secret; ii) Major Awards is the most expensive artwork by Amy Gartrell that we have observed at auction so far.
