Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Madame Dorival by Amedeo Modigliani was sold in the Modern Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 17,559,500.00 (€ 16,363,339.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Amedeo Modigliani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nu Couché in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 170,405,000.00 (€ 161,337,814.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Madame Dorival von Amedeo Modigliani wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Evening Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 17.559.500,00 (€ 16.363.339,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Amedeo Modigliani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nu Couché im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.405.000,00 (€ 161.337.814,81).
