The »bidding war« ended at EUR 900.00 29% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ambrogio Antonio Alciati achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian an Elegant Woman With Her Maltese in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 57,782.82).

Die Arbeit Nudo femminile von Ambrogio Antonio Alciati wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 900,00 und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ambrogio Antonio Alciati erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italian an Elegant Woman With Her Maltese im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 57.782,82).
