Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Giovane Donna Seduta by Ambrogio Antonio Alciati was auctioned at Christies in Rome in June 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,488.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ambrogio Antonio Alciati achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian an Elegant Woman With Her Maltese in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 57,782.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Giovane Donna Seduta von Ambrogio Antonio Alciati im Juni 2005 bei Christies in Rom versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.488,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ambrogio Antonio Alciati erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italian an Elegant Woman With Her Maltese im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 57.782,82).
