In May 2018 Grisebach held the auction Frühjahrsauktionen 2018 - Photographie, which included the work Paddington Canal. by Alvin Langdon Coburn. The result of EUR 500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alvin Langdon Coburn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vortograph in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 605,000.00 (€ 439,137.69).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2018 führte Grisebach die Auktion Frühjahrsauktionen 2018 - Photographie durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paddington Canal. von Alvin Langdon Coburn zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alvin Langdon Coburn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vortograph im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 605.000,00 (€ 439.137,69).
