Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Grisebach held the auction Frühjahrsauktionen 2018 - Photographie, which included the work London Bridge. by Alvin Langdon Coburn. It changed hands for a price of EUR 687.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alvin Langdon Coburn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vortograph in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 605,000.00 (€ 439,137.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Grisebach die Auktion Frühjahrsauktionen 2018 - Photographie durch, in der auch die Arbeit London Bridge. von Alvin Langdon Coburn zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 687,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alvin Langdon Coburn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vortograph im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 605.000,00 (€ 439.137,69).
