Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rolling Hills Maine by Allen Tucker was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2014. It achieved a price of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,857.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Allen Tucker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mount Desert Island, Maine, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 32,200.00 (€ 20,373.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rolling Hills Maine von Allen Tucker kam im April 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.857,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Für andere Arbeiten von Allen Tucker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mount Desert Island, Maine beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 32.200,00 (€ 20.373,30) versteigert wurde.
