Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,857.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Allen Tucker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mount Desert Island, Maine, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 32,200.00 (€ 20,373.30).
