In September 2019 Christies in London held the auction First Open | Online, which included the work Sunset Blvd. by Allan Kaprow. The auction ended at the price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,925.72), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allan Kaprow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hysteria in September 2015 with an auction result of GBP 140,500.00 (€ 190,270.38).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im September 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open | Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunset Blvd. von Allan Kaprow zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.925,72) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allan Kaprow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hysteria im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 140.500,00 (€ 190.270,38).
