Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tournon by Alison Watt was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2018. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,381.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alison Watt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sleeper; Fragment Ii, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 78,000.00 (€ 115,848.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tournon von Alison Watt kam im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.381,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alison Watt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sleeper; Fragment Ii beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 78.000,00 (€ 115.848,01) versteigert wurde.
