Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Forbidden Fruit by Alison Watt was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,562.50 (€ 8,397.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alison Watt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sleeper; Fragment Ii in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 78,000.00 (€ 115,848.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for Forbidden Fruit von Alison Watt wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion The Scottish Sale bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.562,50 (€ 8.397,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alison Watt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sleeper; Fragment Ii im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 78.000,00 (€ 115.848,01).
