Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Little Ted by Alison Watt was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,499.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alison Watt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sleeper; Fragment Ii in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 78,000.00 (€ 115,848.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Little Ted von Alison Watt wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.499,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alison Watt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sleeper; Fragment Ii im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 78.000,00 (€ 115.848,01).
