Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Parallel by Alison Watt was sold in the (Women) Artists auction at Sothebys in London in May 2021. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,728.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alison Watt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sleeper; Fragment Ii in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 78,000.00 (€ 115,848.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Parallel von Alison Watt wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion (Women) Artists bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.728,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alison Watt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sleeper; Fragment Ii im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 78.000,00 (€ 115.848,01).
