Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Pears by Alison Watt. The price achieved of GBP 36,250.00 (€ 51,632.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alison Watt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sleeper; Fragment Ii, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 78,000.00 (€ 115,848.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pears von Alison Watt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 36.250,00 (€ 51.632,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alison Watt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sleeper; Fragment Ii beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 78.000,00 (€ 115.848,01) versteigert wurde.
